THE TUTORING CENTER Difference

Many after-school tutoring or intervention programs are offered to students who are having difficulty in class - but current research indicates that these programs are inefficient and too time consuming. Since the main focus of such programs is to complete the child’s homework, after-school programs do not offer a permanent solution.

THE TUTORING CENTER’s founder, Edward S. Thalheimer, Ph.D., developed an innovative system that gives your child the individualized attention he or she deserves and requires for a quality K-12 education. Our staff carries the same passion for personal student attention and is excited to teach your child from our highly successful learning techniques.

Successful Strategies for Your Child’s Successful Future
While school-based tutoring may provide your child with short-term homework help, THE TUTORING CENTER’s intense One-to-One Instruction and “The Rotational Approach to Learning” provide your child with long-term skills that will last a lifetime. Both methods were meticulously created by Dr. Thalheimer to develop your child’s learning strategies for long-term results.

One-to-One Instruction guarantees each student receives more direct attention from a member of our staff than he or she will ever receive in a classroom full of children.

“The Rotational Approach to Learning” ensures students increase their concentration and focus while they learn in an environment that is fun, enjoyable and stress-free.

We Now Offer An SAT/ACT Program
Is your child getting ready to take the SAT or ACT? Our SAT/ACT Program provides students the advantage of structured individualized instruction for a fraction of the cost of our competitors. Our program consists of innovative course books and practice tests that will help your child increase their SAT/ACT test scores, build their confidence and give them a competitive edge.

Our tutoring services and programs are available for students from K-12. Interested in learning how you can help your child learn? Call (248) 494-6225 to set up the appointment that will improve your child’s future.

Our classrooms feature an intense learning environment that combines “The Rotational Approach to Learning” and One-To-One Instruction. Both methods were developed by Edward S.Thalheimer, Ph.D., founder of THE TUTORING CENTER. Our innovative system gives your child far more One-to-One Instruction than he or she will ever receive in a classroom full of children, or even in a small group.

You have many choices available for your child, and we want you to make the choice that's in your child's best interest. For instance, many schools provide after-school tutoring or intervention programs for students who are having difficulty in school, and maybe your child has been offered one in the past. Even though these programs are free to families, current research indicates that these programs are inefficient and time-consuming. Since they focus mostly on completing your child's homework, they can not offer you a permanent solution. While school-based tutoring may provide your child with short-term homework help, THE TUTORING CENTER's intense One-to-One Instruction and "The Rotational Approach to Learning™" actually provide your child with long-term skills that will last a lifetime.
